Abstract
Purpose: We used local autobone and femoral head allobone mixed graft with posterolateral fusion in spinal stenosis and spondylolisthesis and examined union rates to evaluation the efficacy.

Materials and Methods: The 62 patients who were followed up for more than 1 year lumbar posterolateral fusion with local autobone and femoral head allobone mixed graft from January 2008 to December 2009. There were 40 cases with spinal stenosis, 22 cases with spondylolisthesis. The bone fusion was determined along with the fusion rates based on Lenke¡¯s criteria and clinical outcomes were evaluated using Kim¡¯s method.

Results: In spinal stenosis, bone union was presented in 34 cases(85%) out of 40 and in spondylolisthesis, bone union was presented in 19 cases(86.4%) out of 22. In spinal stenosis, the clinical outcomes was showed as 13 exellent, 19 good, 7 fair and 1 poor, 32 cases(80%) were superior to the good. In spondylolisthesis, 12 exellent, 6 good, 4 fair and 0 poor, 18 cases(81.8%) were superior to the good.

Conclusion: Posterolateral fusion using local autobone and femoral head allobone mixed graft showed lower bone fusion rates than that using autogenous iliac bone graft but acceptable clinical outcomes. And It is believed that this is useful technique without pain and complications of the donor site.
